German

I did the lab in summer 2009 with Paul and I can attest to minimal politics and minimal physical violence. The experience made me want to take writing for theatre seriously. The weekly sessions provided a great structured environment to bounce ideas off of and get feedback from Paul and the rest of the class. I felt my play was much, much stronger for it. And I can't start to tell you how exciting it was to sit in on auditions and rehearsals for my play. I met some fantastic well-established Seattle theatre practitioners and got the full experience of what it was like to actually be a working playwright. If you are thinking about it, I cannot recommend it enough.

Paul, I hope you reconsider teaching this class again in the future. I still use the feedback structure you taught us and the actor-like exercises you gave to the group on the first day of class were terrifying but it made is go from zero-to-sixty in terms of communication and positive group dynamic in no time flat. A really valuable and fun time.

Cheers from London!

Paul Mullin

Thank you, German! You are very very kind, sir.

I hope some day I can visit you in London, and maybe even do some-- God help me!-- theatre!
