Reminds me of a Toni Morrison quote I held onto for a while and then, fittingly, let go:

"At some point in life the world's beauty becomes enough. You don't need to photograph, paint or even remember it. It is enough."

The joy of remembering is nothing without the art of forgetting.

Paul Mullin

Absolutely.

Thanks, Basil!

Scot Augustson

Paul, thank you for this delightful reminder.

People talk a lot of shit about Burningman and, having been there 4 times, I can tell you that it's not any one thing and there is much to love AND hate. But, to see art that is created for the temporal experience and 'born to die' is renewing and inspirational. The memories of Fire Tornadoes and one-on-one personal performances lingers in me more than my extensive collection that hangs on every wall.
